The principal characters of The Phantom of the Opera continue their stories in Andrew Lloyd Webber's LOVE NEVER DIES.
Ten years after the mysterious disappearance of The Phantom from the Paris Opera House, Christine Daae accepts an offer to come to America and perform at New York's fabulous new playground of the world - Coney Island. Christine arrives in New York with her husband Raoul and their son Gustave. She soon discovers the identity of the anonymous impresario who has lured her from France to sing.
LOVE NEVER DIES is a rollercoaster ride of obsession and intrigue... in which music and memory can play cruel tricks... and The Phantom sets out to prove that, indeed, LOVE NEVER DIES.

I was at the 22nd February preview . I loved it and I will definitely see it again!
What a ridiculous sham. Terrible plot, totally ruins the original and not the kind of ending anyone would be satisfied with. What a monstrosity
Please see the show for yourself - reviews are merely opinions.
I would class myself as an avid theatre go'er and nobody wanted to like this production more than myself, I have the utmost respect for Andrew Lloyd Webber, the man is a true genius, however please bear in mind that the reason I am posting here is my absolute disappointment, nothing more! I am not an ALW nor LND hater!
I hope that some of you love the show and continue to support it, however it's not for me, nor any of the other people that saw it with me including my wife.
Other people I know including my 75 year old mother have now seen it too and all have the same opinion.
To me it's the theatrical equivalent of "Twilight" crossed with "X-Factor", I can see why young girls and teenagers would like it and certainly see how emotionaly attached they would get to it, however for the more discerning of us that can look at the show as a whole and compare it to many other amazing musicals that have played in the West End including ALW's other shows, it is actually a very lacking production, especially as a sequel to POTO.
It's totally bereft of a decent plot, poor characters that are a mere shadow of their former selves, the phantom has become a very shallow character, a very poor score with some truly terrible songs that really are out of place, the sets are underwealming and the props are laughable (mainly the skeleton table, whatever the rock organ/man thing was supposed to be and definitely the glass carriage! - which was laughable in it's lack of movement and plastic look!!). The ending was dreadful and topped off a spectacular failure in my eyes. In fact I found myself laughing through most of the important scenes due to the "Jeremy Kyle" nature of the plot twists. Very obvious twists and very disappointing in thier reveal.
Yes, POTO is a thin plot, however it is of course a classic love story. This continuation makes a mockery of everything that Christine, Raoul and the Phantom went through in the original.
For those of you expecting major changes, please remember that the songs and story will not change between now and the official opening night! Only small changes will be made to the show. Hence I stick by my view! As those are the main points I have an issue with.
It's such a shame as the cast are all amazing, no complaints there, their performances were excellent. Great cast.
For those of you that love the show, please also take the time to go and see some of the other amazing shows that are on in the West End, they also need support and I'm sure that you will find much better "fare" that you enjoy a lot more than LND.
My personal recommendation for anyone currently is "War Horse" which is just an amazing show (not a musical I'm afraid!) and will show you what can be achieved in a theatrical environment that will completely astound you!!
Don't take a negative review personally, this show is really not for everyone and reviews are just an opinion - I am not attacking anyone, especially ALW!
I am just very disappointed! But please go and see the show for youself and I hope that it is better for you.
I saw the first preview performance. This show was ridiculously bad... I wish I could get my money back. Not only was the plot absolutely horrendous, laughable, and unbelievable, but the music was highly disappointing, especially since it is a sequel to Phantom. I loved the first one, and was hoping to fall head over heels for this one, however, epic fail. Sorry Andrew Lloyd Webber, but your career may be coming to its end.
All these comments come from the 'Love Should Die' facebook page. You had your opinion before you saw the previews anyway!!! Just grow up. Your group is pathetic. What satisfaction do you get out of it?
I don't think anyone should listen to these comments below or that facebook group... they are comments that would be said if the show was seen or not.
